Chestertown RiverArts Presents Reimagined Runway 2026: “Enchantment Under the Sea”
CHESTERTOWN, MD — Chestertown RiverArts invites the community to dive into an unforgettable evening of creativity, sustainability, and spectacle at Reimagined Runway 2026, the organization’s signature recycled fashion show and fundraising gala. This year’s immersive theme, “Enchantment Under the Sea,” transforms the runway into a shimmering underwater fantasy filled with imaginative couture crafted from recycled and repurposed materials.
The highly anticipated event will take place on Saturday, July 11, 2026, and will feature original wearable art designs by regional artists, makers, and creative visionaries who transform everyday discarded materials into extraordinary fashion statements. From ocean-inspired fantasy looks to avant-garde recycled couture, Reimagined Runway celebrates innovation, environmental awareness, and artistic expression in one dazzling evening.
Chestertown RiverArts is currently seeking designers and creative teams to participate in the runway show. Artists are invited to submit original design proposals using recycled, reclaimed, and repurposed materials. Designs are not required but to follow the theme but we encourage you to take inspiration from it! Proposals must be submitted by June 19, 2026. Submission guidelines and application information are available at Reimagined Runway Call for Designs.
In addition, RiverArts is seeking event sponsors, silent auction donations, and program advertisers to help support this signature fundraiser. Businesses, organizations, and community members are invited to partner with RiverArts to celebrate creativity and sustainability while gaining visibility through one of the region’s most anticipated arts events. Guests will enjoy an exciting runway presentation, delicious food and drinks, and a curated silent auction, all while supporting RiverArts in growing community, creativity, and connection through the Arts.
Since its beginnings as “Reclaimed Runway,” the event has become one of the region’s most beloved and visually spectacular arts fundraisers, showcasing the incredible creativity of the Eastern Shore community while encouraging conversations around sustainability and reuse. “Reimagined Runway is more than a fashion show,” said Assistant Director, Kris Kelley. “It’s a celebration of imagination, transformation, and community. Every piece on the runway tells a story about creativity and the possibilities hidden within materials that might otherwise be discarded.”
Proceeds from the gala benefit RiverArts education initiatives, public programs, and community outreach efforts throughout Kent County and beyond.
Tickets, sponsorship opportunities, advertising information, and designer applications are available at ctownra.org.
